About Our Soaps:
Our soaps are made using the traditional cold process method. Oils and butters are melted together at low temperatures then lye is added. The saponification process naturally creates soap and a very gentle by-product glycerol. Glycerol/glycerine is a humectant which means it retains and draws moisture while also preserving the product due to its antimicrobial properties. This method ensures a mild, gentle, and hydrating soap. The soap is made in small batches to ensure quality, attention and care. This handcrafted soap is slowly cured for 2-4 weeks each bar is unique and varies slightly in size, shape, and weight. The curing stage ensures that excess moisture evaporates from the soap hardening the bar so that it lasts longer in the bath/shower. As the soap ages, it becomes milder, less gel-like and its inner structure more crystalline. Each batch also varies slightly due to the natural ingredients used.
